Furthering an emerging community revitalization into the online and print world.
Background:
Washougal Town Square is a new development in the small town of Washougal, Washington focused on the revitalization of a quickly-growing small town area. The development was built to LEED standards and stands as an example of how to pleasingly fit a new image into an old town. They needed a web site to help get their name and information out to the public, in an attempt to help bring in tenants and help inform the press about their project.
How can an emerging lifestyle be communicated on a web site that needs to appeal to a variety of audiences?
Solution:
Working with the branding established by another agency, we developed a web site concept that leveraged their look and feel, but also began to speak to the different audiences—tenants, consumers, the press—and make it easy for each group to find what they are looking for. We also included a photo gallery, news page and prominent leasing information. We were also called upon to design and produce a tenant manual, which helps new and prospective tenants understand how to build out their spaces to green standards.
Results:
The end result is a brand-focused web site with validated XHTML code and a clean, easy-to-use interface. The site comes up as the top result on searches for Washougal Town Square and is also scalable enough that it can be easily expanded upon in the future.
