"If I can work with kids, I can handle a bunch of creative folks... right?"

Shannon spent the first half of her professional life as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist working with children in the special education field. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in the field of educational leadership. She would be the first to tell you: she is addicted to education.

When she had the chance to try something new by helping Bret run the new incarnation of Workshed, she jumped at the chance. After all, how hard could it be to work with creative people after working with kids for so many years? editor's note: Yes, we do realize the inherent naivete in that statement.

Shannon was able to dust off her former experience as an office manager, customer service representative, benefits and payroll administrator, project manager and bookkeeper to dive in and help keep us all on track financially, socially, strategically and administratively. After working with creative folks for awhile now, she's found that, much like with the kids she used to work with, candy and shiny toys still go a long way.

Shannon enjoys spending time with Bret—the fact that they share a last name is not a coincidence—and their two children. She also enjoys reading, watching movies, being outdoors, being with family and friends and spending time with her family's pets.
